Head, Private Sector Partnerships and Innovation Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance

At Gavi, Tamer works to mainstream innovation into Gavi operations, with the goal of accelerating vaccine delivery and impact. His team leverages private sector partnerships, through direct funding of Gavi operations, Gavi-managed innovation funds, and technical partnerships. Tamer received his Ph.D. in global health from Johns Hopkins University. He has held previous operational and strategy roles at the Gates Foundation, IHME and Meta.
