Dr. Safiya George

Dr. George is President of the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI). She is a Fellow of the National Academies of Practice, the American Academy of Nursing, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She studied at UVI, Duke University and Emory University. She has published widely on her research on HIV/AIDS and infectious diseases and on using artificial intelligence, machine learning/deep learning to develop predictive models for COVID-19 outcomes and Alzheimer's Disease.
